Penang

Who Went? One 5mo, Mum and Dad.

Review: This was our first ever holiday as parents. We brought our pre-weaning baby in arms and although we paid lip-service to the idea that things would be different and slower with him along, to a large extent our plan was just to sling him into the carrier and go about our business. This plan… didn’t suck completely. I mean, it worked extremely well until the last day, when he decided he’d had about five times more excitement than he could handle and went to pieces in a big hurry. In subsequent trips we learned to set a less stimulating itinerary.

Highlights: Sightseeing around Georgetown, relaxing by the beach.

Challenges: Overly stimulating for our baby. We learned to pace ourselves differently after this trip.

P was absolutely delighted with absolutely everything, right up until the point he realised he had exceeded his limit and spontaneously combusted.
